Lucky you. That must have costed Ferrari a bunch if truly enforced/requested by customers. Leaves me furthermore surprised that Ferrari seemingly did not resolve the root cause. Thirty-something % of 355s sold in the US with possible recurrent failures makes a pretty viable business case for some engineering sustaining actions.
The Tubi information I posted was based on what I was told by a Ferrari mechanic and few members of this board. I considered them but with a cost of 2x that of the QV rebuilt ones and more importantly they had (at the time I looked for them) over a 2 month back order. -Michael
From the folks at QuickSilver: The original 355 manifolds are made of 409 (about half stainless steel) and they are only 1.2 mm thick. The qs manifolds are made of pure 304 stainless steel and they are 1.5 mm thick -Michael
I put Tubi's on my F355, I was very happy with the results. I would not use the factory headers again.... Chris
