Why such the difference between 97 and 98 spiders? I know there were improvements on the 97 model but I cant think of any variations or improvements done to the cars between 97 and 98...

What auction was this btw? Some of those prices are pretty low!

Unfortunately, the price will keep coming down :(
No speculation on 355s, so the thing to do is buy one and drive the heck out of it :)

If the price ever comes down to 40K, I'll buy another one so my little bro can trash that one instead of mine :D

Note that these are mostly wholesale auction results. This is what the dealers are paying for cars for their inventory. I believe the purchasing dealers will add $15k - $20k to these prices for their retail pricing.

    From the Manheim website:

"Manheim is the industry leader in the business of wholesale automobile auctions. Wholesale auto auctions are where wholesale buyers and sellers meet to exchange vehicles. Competitive bidding drives the auction process and only licensed dealers are allowed to bid. Sellers, or consignors, may be manufacturers, rental car companies, financial institutions, leasing companies, corporate fleet managers or licensed automotive dealers."
