so with a 355 you START with a 348 and add a few mods? sounds like a stable base to build from.

I absolutely love my 1994 Sera Blue 348 Spider. It has those distinctive side strakes, the go-kart like handling, and the tastefully angular designs fore and aft. However, I also adore my 2004 Rosso Corsa 360 Spider and the curvaceous styling that resulted from Pininfarina's quote: "foremost, a car must be dreamt." Both cars have wonderful attributes from their respective eras which I thoroughly enjoy equally!

Sorry, the "a car must be dreamt" quote should have be attributed to Enzo Ferrari himself!

With that great socialized medicine, they may not even treat you. :)

The real basics of why Ferrari 'had' to make the 355, is because Honda made the NSX. The NSX was designed so that any wimp could drive it. Whereas the 348 actually required some skill to get the most out of it, which was the classic Ferrari formula, as Enzo absolutely hated poseurs. The market dictated a car that would be easier to drive....... Voila! 355! :D Merry Christmas! End of story.

These comments remind me of bouley bay event 2 years ago when the 348s (ord and gtc) dominated the day breaking all records for the track (not for the first time). There was just the new 430 scud that managed to equal the winning 348 run in the end. The 355s didnt make a showing.
