I want to set my 355 up for Hill Climbs and Sprints - the PFHC regulations allow the car to be lowered by up to 3 cms from original spec - and to run no more than 3 degs of negative camber. I would be keen to hear from anyone with experience of setting a 355 up for this type of use - It would be my first season with the car so don't really want on the edge handling ! Is standard best ?

    Many thanks

I am not a suspension guy but 3 degrees of neg sounds like a lot for wide wheels.... I have used a maximum of 2 degrees in the past.

thanks for link - looks a minefield - if you dropped the front and rear say 20mm would that give a significant alteration to the handling ? & could you run std settings for camber & toe in ...overall what difference would it be likely to make ?

I cant really tell you as I probably am in the same fase as you, still trial and error for me ;-)
Rob seem to be the best person to ask about chassis settings.

currently ride height measures about 158 front & 178 rear so a bit lower than listed measurements- the car will run on Std Pirelli road tyres

What you really need to do is test the oe setting and read your tires. That will tell you what to do based on your inputs into the tires and the input/feedback the course gives the tires. Anyway you can run a the course or similar course to get some data? I'm thinking tire temps altered by tire pressure and fine tuned with alignment. You can use a more radical alignment like -2 front -3 rear and even get more agressive if you lower the car too but you need to be able to drive it hard enough to work the tires. You can actually go slower if you have the alignment to radical for the drive or driving style.
