Because once you own a Ferrari , attention becomes a part of ownership especially if you own a red one.lol

As a non owner, I would not only gravitate to a 355 first, but I would also rather own one instead of a 360.

You are not being mean, I appreciate your opinion.
I am just curious the diff between the two regarding public opinion. Having owned two 355's I always thought the front of the 360 looked a bit Japanese, wanted to get reactions observed by owners of both.

    Ban him! :D

Seriously, an interesting comment.... I just went and looked at mine (always makes me smile) and don't see anything "Japanese" about it at all ;)

    Cheers,

Geez at least it wasn't just me!

My wife and I were in LA and stopped by the dealer to look at a few 360s... a Customer's 355 was parked alongside and she immediately reacted "THAT one...That's the new one right??" and of course she was reacting to the prominent scoops on the side of the 355. I always felt the 360 from certain angles looked very "Import"... from other angels it's incredibly beautiful- the front 3/4 view is much prettier, IMHO than the 355... but the side view of the 355 is still a really iconic Ferrari look.

I have owned neither, but rented both for a weekend each. Both are great. The 360 is faster, the 355 is smaller sized. I prefer the 355 for that reason. BOTH get attention, but that's not what you are buying it for...both will do what you need them to do, which is permanently tattoo a smile on your face every time you drive them! Decide & enjoy!

I respectfully disagree. I have never thought the 360 looked like anything other than a Ferrari. FWIW. Years ago I thought the 355 was the best looking car on the planet. It still is one of the best.

As an owner I agree. Only considered a 355 because I prefer it's looks and removable top.

I have never owned either but my opinion on looks is: 355 has better side profile & 1 more sexy scoop for interest. 360 has more attractive nose / front angle and also rear. I think they both need a few more curves. Head turning factor depends on how you look getting out of the car...

Head turning factor depends on how hot the woman you're with looks getting out of the car. ;-)

I didn't read all posts, are you looking for least amount of attention? Either will garner the same I would say. People snap pictures of almost all of them constantly. I like White because it tends to fly under the radar more and still gives me the drive I love so much.

that being said it's hard to match the sound of those damn 355's they sound puurrrfect!

Ferraris and hot chicks ( 355 and 360s actually.)

Both cars get attention. People will stare at anything they dont understand.

    That includes my redheaded ex-girlfriend!

I reckon the 360 would have been more of a head turner about 3-5 years back. Enthusiasts would have read articles or road tests about it - top of the mind recall - and would be dying to see the 360s on the road to match up what they read to the real thing.

But today, the 360 is two generations old and will be about as attention gathering as any of its predecessors. It will no longer have the wow factor of a brand new model - the 458 will be the darling of everyone's eyes.

20 years from now, the 355s will outshine the 360 IMVHO.

BUT, in my eyes, the Stradale will be the most desirable Ferrari of the last 15-20 years. It has a few stylistic tweaks over a regular 360 but somehow it seems so much BETTER. Again MHO.

Funny I think the 355 front looks very dated with its hideaway headlights! So 90's!

Well maybe not guys like us who spend all day on internet forums arguing about cars..no. But guys who apparently like nice cars but are not us to speed on the individual Ferrari models.

I was standing in front of Boston Sportcar after dropping off my 355 the other day and a Grigio Ferrari is coming towards me on Boston Post Road- Now I've actually been thinking of buying a 612 at some point when the depreciation curve advances a bit- but I honestly could not name the car coming towards me- Is that a 612? Is it a 456? is it a 550?? Hmm no scoop on the hood so not a 550...Without my Laptop in front of me I just could not place it. It was shiny so I guessed 599 but for that split second It could have been a clean 456 for all I know. (I'm fairly certain it was a 612)

I doubt "Non Ferrari Guys" know the model numbers unless they are actively following Ferrari. I tend to think my 99 is cleaner than most of the new Japanese cars on dealer's lots these days... Not sure most layman could tell you the difference between a 308 and a 328.
