The front should be okay without spacers. I have read the best setup with 355 wheels to be no spacers on front and 15mm on the rear as you noted. As you are buying repro wheels make sure the wheel offsets are the same as the stock 355 wheels.

    Benzino,

Where are you gettting the wheels from? Orginal 355 wheels are costly. How much are you paying for them?

Benzino, I bought my factory 355 wheels off eBay for US $1850.00 and were absolutely perfect! You will need longer lugbolts to mount the wheels but if you are planning on spacers, use 25mm in the rear and 15mm up front. I got my spacer kits from Hill Engineering through Daniel at Ricambi America. They will come with the proper lugbolts included for the front and I have a spare set for the rear.

Hi...i am a Motorsport dealer by trade and these aftermarket wheels hold no fear to me.I the UK 355 wheels are rocking horse poo so command a high price....repros are perfect as the car is not really driven fast anyway even if you could be concerned the wheels are not up to scratch which to be honest is highly unlikely!..Tyre choice would be the danger here...i am sticking Bridgstones on apparently original equipment to UK 355's.

JoTeC surely 25mm is too much on the back?..I run the stock wheels with the hills spacers now are present it looks perfect...are the 355 wheels a different off set or the same as 348 standard wheels?Any pics of the back and front appreciated.

Here you go Benzino... 25mm in the rear, 15mm up front. You have more faith than I do on the aftermarket wheels, maybe because I am in the racing industry and have seen too many mechanical failures. Just my engineering paranoia... ;)

JoTeC....i am in the fast game too but as this is a street car aftermarket repros will be fine...if i was tracking it different story...although i would say its more of an issue running the spacers than the actually wheel?

Thats looks spot on mate...so i can just leave my spacers where they are and bung the new wheels straight on :D

BTW what size tyres you running?

Spacers do indeed compromise the engineering of the Ferrari 348. However, the 355 wheels on the rear with the 25mm spacers make for the exact change in the rear track width as the 355 did. This gets rid of the nervousness in the rear at high speeds. The front does widen the stock track by 30mm and I found a slight push in the nose while agressive cornering. But if I take it out on the track, I will remove the 15mm spacers in the front and it should be good. The best setup is 25mm in the rear and 0mm in the front. Exact 355 settings. However, for looks, I run the 15mm up front on the street. As far as spacer failure, well thats why I spent nearly US $500.00 buying the best, Hill Engineering.

How do you get into the 348 parked so close to the white car??? Do you back the white car out first or are you a contortionist? I need about twice the space to get into my 348.

Ha-ha! The BMW E46 is the daily driver and Ferrari is shoved over to the right. The BMW has room on both sides to get in and out... (kids) X5 was banished to the parking lot when the Ferrari moved in... (wife still pissed) :D
