Sounds very interesting, I'd like to hear a review from someone who actually did the conversion and see how the car shifts & drives afterwards
Wow, this is fantastic news. My only question is, can this kit be put together again? I ask because I've been looking for a 360 stick, but if I find all the options I want on an f1 car, I'd buy it and then this kit... if they are still available. Cheers, George
All PMs responded to. The requires additional programming and wiring because of the differential. It also needs bits for the console. This is an easy swap for a 360. It is much harder but do able for a 430. This price is very good. It is not easy or cheap to get these. If you have a360 and really want a change of the cars personality, there is no better mod. If you think about it, take labor out of the picture, and the cost is near what a top quality exhaust would run. Which would transform the car more?? Thank you
Hello Rich, are you still offering this kit? I would like to convert my 2000 360. How can I get in touch with you?
I'm sort of thinking about a 360 but I mostly see F1s for sale. If this kit still exists or can be recreated I might be a taker if I eventually get one. Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk
Rich hello, I would like to contact you to inquire about your conversion kit. How can I get in touch. My email is [email protected].
Hi Rich, If you're not still offering these kits, is there a chance that you have a breakdown of the part numbers available? If you're still out there and providing these, I'd be very interested in obtaining one. Thanks!
Oh boy!!! I wonder if I sold my F1 pump and parts how much I could get for them. I would kill to have a 6 speed 360. Especially mine which runs like a top. This thing would run forever. Low miles. Fresh major. I'm tempted. Very.
Now you just tempted me to do something dumb and start f355 shopping. Prob some serious bargains on the f1 versions
How much do you guys think we could get for the F1 setup if we made the switch? Feels like a couple grand right? So maybe switching to the 6 speed would cost a 2-3 grand total? But the value of your car just increased about $7-10k as a 6 speed. And your clutch life just doubled from 15-20k miles to 30-40k miles because you aren't automatically "slipping" the clutch at launch and reverse. So you're getting 2x on the clutch which saves you about $4500 every 5 or so years. Am I missing something here?
Bought a 97 M3 auto, cheap as the tranny was bad. $2200 to convert to a 5spd. Common swap on these cars. Paid for itself when i sold it.
Would you be able to tell that a conversion is done to the car? Hence, for Porsche 964/993 it seems easy to identify whether the car is genuine manual or not. I guess my question is: Physically, are there any telltale signs? Would the VIN decode be able to tell whether the car is F1 without access to the build sheet?
