    Disconnected and reconnected battery. Do I really need to do the 3/4 gear 2500 rpm for 3.5 miles etc, or just idle for 5 or more minutes and go?

    I never have imho it will self learn just take it for next 10 miles or so. Reason I have not it because I have disconnected several times.

    You need to do the power up properly so that it learns the trims etc. Then you can drive. The drive cycle will eventually complete all monitors. IF you need to test sooner than everything sets you can do the drive cycle.
