MY FIRST FERRARI! I'm picking it up on the 28th. 2004 360 in Rossa Barchetta. I'd like to change the stock radio head unit with something that supports blue tooth so I can stream Pandora, etc. The car does have the HiFi option from Ferrari. I'm open to suggestion of what works as a direct replacement without doing serious mods.

    Thanks in advance!
    Rick

Congratulations on the new ride and welcome to the club.

Personally, I put the radio on once to see if it works.

I can listen to music, news or weather any time but I can hear a Ferrari from the drivers seat only on special occasions.

Hopefully someone will chime in and give you some guidance.

    Good luck!!!

I put in a Blaupunkt unit and it sucks a bit less... :) At least it allows bluetooth streaming from my iphone, and remains totally reversible with no cut wires. There's a thread somewhere on here about it.

    Good luck on your purchase.
You are limited to a single din and I wanted a radio with the works at a reasonable price. My car came with the subwoofer option. I went with a Clarion NZ-503 head. It has a slide out Touchscreen that works perfectly, has Nav, Bluetooth, Ipod, CD, DVD, HD Radio, Sirius Radio, Hands free also has a setting for the light to blink like the Ferrari has to look like an alarm. I added in a Focal Amp ( Focal 4 ) and Fset of Focal 165KFs, they fit in the door and tweeter area's perfectly. I added in the small Focal Sub in the rear and am very please with the sound. I love the touchscreen, I use the radio about 50% of the time and when I do the sound is great. Let us know what you choose
    Regards
    G

Thanks for the input guys! I'm not sure about the slide out, but good to know single din is not an issue. I like Focal! Where did you mount it? Where did you mount the sub?

    Thanks!

I will also give the nod to a flip screen. I have a Pioneer unit, but it does not support streaming audio...other models do if that's important. It does however, like most flip screens, give you the option of installing a back-up camera which is REALLY nice considering the limited rearward visibility on these cars.

I think if I take out my OEM unit I'm putting a blaupunkt unit in… only rub I'd have with the flip screens is they might block a vent..

Last year I got my first Ferrari and, like you, found the radio and sound system lacking.

I did the modification myself and gutted the entire sound system. I installed a Hertz four channel amp in the spot where the CD changer was located, replaced the door speakers with Hertz 165 mm units and tweeters. I put a pair of Focal 5.25" mini subs in the Ferrari sub enclosure and rounded it all out with the high end Alpine single DIN CD receiver that has Pandora, USB, Bluetooth ... a very nice unit that it substantially superior to Blaupunct.

As a side, I have found Blaupunct units features and service have suffered significant decline in recent years. Fewer cars companies are sourcing their high end stereos from them these days. Personally, I recommend you seriously look at Alpine.

All my equipment is mounted like Bisel's The Clarion also has the back up camera option
At 499.00 plus an extra 100.00 for the HD and Sirius modules I felt it was the deal. The speakers and amp are what is most important parts in my opinion, If your car did not come with subwoofer option you can find some for sale on here or ebay.

I'm going with a Blaupunkt San Francisco head unit for the 430. It has a sleek not so busy look .

Here's the actual pieces which I have used:
VV Audi 20 PIN Mini ISO Block Adapter Cable Connector FOR Audio MP3 Changer ASO | eBay

Male TO Female PC2 36 4 ISO Lead Wiring Harness Adaptor Radio CAR | eBay

Ignore it when it says it's "Audi", as its a generic ISO adapter.

I've included pics of the factory connectors in the 360 for your reference. The headunit I am using is the Blakpunkt San Francisco 310.

Have also installed a Blaupunkt subwoofer, with no cutting or drilling involved. Fits very nicely onto the back, with screws holding the carbon fiber plate onto the factor locations where the storage netting was. Let me know if you want pics of the install. Very easily done.

Sweet! I noticed the head unit you mention doesn't have BlueTooth, though a couple of Blau's do. Also, the 310 doesn't have a sub out. How did you hook up the sub to the head?
    Thanks!

Alpine CDE-149Bt. Has built in HD radio, Bluetooth, and can even illuminate green to match the dash. Sirius-XM only option additional if you want Sat radio.

Highly recommend. The bluetooth works seamlessly, both for phone and streaming Pandora/itunes radio. I also keep a dedicated iPod nano in the glovebox for times when I want better sound quality.

IMHO the flip out option may be the most sensible option but it ruins the look of the interior.
