    All:
I am reinstalling my 360 dash and I came across this 4 pin connector that I don't remember being connected to anything. I don't want to get too far back into assembly and suddenly discover an "oh sh*t" moment. Any tips are appreciated. I have a manual so for all i know this is a connector to the non existent shifter paddles in an F1.

    What are the wire colours?

The paddle shift wire colours are grey/green, black/white, brown/green and blue/white

Most wiring across 360s is the same, regardless of how the cars were specced. I was told by challenge mechanics that even those cars have a lot of excessive wiring.

It's not uncommon for all makes and models of cars to have only one wiring harness using only the connections that are relevant for that particular model. I've seen this many, many times. In my older cars I will find the connections for power seats, lumbar supports, etc. under the carpet in cars that do not have power seats as an option. Just something to keep in mind when re-connections are made. I usually mark my connectors with tape and numbers upon disassembly.

Tape that plug up and hide it. Do not let it touch anything.

It may not be a hazard. It depends on the car and what has been done to it.

@bhobson Has your car been converted to a gated manual? If so, do you know if the F1 TCU is still fitted?

Here is the wiring harness for the F1 car (only)

On the genuine gated car, the wiring from that unused connector on the steering column only goes as far as plug 1P/6D (marked in red), forward of the centre console. The rest of the wiring shouldn't exist aft of plug 1P.

The hazard is that it might touch something and screw up the trans and start behaving like a flippy paddle.

I believe my car to be an original manual (not converted). The harness in the steering column ends and 1P and there is none of the other harness shown. I was confused as i was putting on the steering column cover and had this unused connector and didn't want to complete assembly while forgetting something. Thanks to you I know it is intended to be a no-connect. Thanks again!
