This is part #2 on removing the spider top off of a 360, please see my first post to get to this point.http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/360-430/427025-360-top-removal-diy-part-1-a.html

#5) So far so good, fortunately it doesn't get much harder, so now you go on the inside and remove the 3 bolts off of the support brackets on each side. Once the bolts have been removed I just bent it forward instead of taking the brackets off, got enough bolts lying around, why have more lol

Step #6) Go to the engine compartment and u will see an ECU on both sides with a grey cover underneath, remove the grey cover (3 bolts) and then there are 3 bolts holding the ECU down, 1 is for the bracket, take that off, 1 holds the ECU down and the last one I believe is a ground, I left that one on because we still have to half cycle the roof (not sure if you have to leave it on but I did) in the pics I have it off but I put it back on , I will tell u why on next part

[Step #7) So at this time we have to cycle the top half way, you will see from the pics, now the manual from the disk says to cycle it but it forgets one very important thing and that is u have to trick the system. I tried to cycle it but wouldn't so I put the ECU ground back on and still it wouldn't then I thought about it and realized the top won't open because it thinks the trunk is open(we removed it) so we took a screwdriver and pulled the latch on where the trunk would have locked in and now the car thinks the trunk is closed and then we cycled it half way and then there are 2 gromets under there and we removed the gromets and then removed the 2 screws(13mm). After that we shut the roof and unplugged the ground from the ECU

Step #8 Now you remove the back carpeting and the 2 webbed pocket to do that, be careful removing the pockets because each screw has little black spacers behing each of the 4 screws. Then u have to remove the glove compartment, first 3 srews inside the glove and then slide it out and then 4 screws that hold the leather piece to the back wall. U have to remove it because the rope is going to go around the metal behind the glove.

Step #9) you r now going to remove the bolts holding the top down, there are 4 bolts inside (2 on each side) and 2 bolts on the engine compartment, I believe 13mm and then one wire on the inside is going to zap strapped to the posts , u have to cut that and after this u r ready , hurray.
