    Hi everyone, it's Mike here. You might remember me from the last run to Red Bluff; I was driving a white s2000. I have been reading and I believe that there is enough interest to get another Red Bluff Rally planned. As you may have read, I am doing a research project for a college class involving rallying and sanctioned racing. This project is completely dependent on field research. So, in addition to the fun everyone will have, it will really be helping me out for my project. Mitchell has informed me that he will be unavailable; however, he suggested that I take the reins on this one. I have basically opened this thread for the following reasons:

    -To evaluate interest in a 3rd rally
    -To determine the best date for a 3rd rally
    -To take suggestions for the impending 3rd rally


    My research project is due on November 27th, so If you are interested in participating in a rally before this date, please post your interest and availability so that I can determine the best date. Please leave a reply or contact me directly at [email protected] or call me up at 985-705-6275. If anyone can suggest a date that will not interfere with upcoming events that would be great.

    The 3rd rally would primarily follow the same format as the 2nd rally. Hopefully we will be able to work out all of the complaints from the last run. If anyone is interested in co-organizing this with me, I would surely appreciate the help. I hope to hear from everyone soon. Until then, have fun and drive safely. -- Mike.

    Since this road is in Mississippi, perhaps you also should post in the South Central section. I had a post for Mississippi Ferrari Owner's. There are a few F Chatters in the Jackson area that may make it. I guess it is more of a run/drive than actual rally, where you would time cars from each checkpoint. I was looking into doing a TSD Rally in southern Mississippi sometime in the fall. That might be a little harder to organize, but with some rules you may run into less problems.

    I suppose you're correct about the run/rally thing... It's just that everyone from the last one was calling it a rally. I guess that's just because thats the first thing that comes to mind when you think lots of fast cars, but no racing. Anyway, thanks for the help and I will certainly post for mississippi. I don't suppose we can count you in on this one?

    I have one more race this year at Phoenix on Nov 11th. That is the only weekend that I am not available. Any others...I'm in!!

    UPDATE: So far, there seems to be a slight interest in a 3rd run. However, such a run will be dependent on a fair size attendance. I'm hoping for AT LEAST 15-20 cars in this run. So far, I believe that we have 4-6 takers, SO PLEASE TELL EVERYONE!!! AND, due to the dates of upcoming events, the 3rd run will be on SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 18th. Please don't forget to post your interest in this run, as I am trying to get a rough head count of participants. Thanks for the support! -- Mike.

    Hi everyone, It's Mike again,

    I have taken all things into consideration, and I have been looking into other dates due to the CENLA event on November 18th. A few people have told me to avoid November 25th, due to Thanksgiving week, but would this be a better day for everyone? It would be cutting it very close for me, as my project is due two days later. But, It would make a great Birthday present for me because November 25th is my B-day! I can't imagine anything I would rather do than enjoy my car on my b-day. If everyone would rather change the date to The 25th, it is certainly not too late. Just let me know!!! If we decide to change the date, I need to start notifying people on multiple forums.


    I also had a great idea last night that I ran by Richard. If we get the date set in stone, I am going to order a print from motographer to raffle off at lunch on the next run. I was going to do a free raffle, but If anyone can suggest a good charity I will do a raffle with an entry fee. I also need suggestions on which car to feature in the print so please voice your opinions!!!

    Now that a new date has been decided, I have started a new official thread for the 3rd Red Bluff Run on November 25th. I am trying to get a rough count of participants, so please contact me on the new thread to inform me of your attendance on the new date (even if you have already contacted me otherwise).
