    Good result. Any idea what the black 1983 400 sold for?

    $85,000.00 plus fees. Good results on both I'd say.

    Great post Subito Grigio!

    I did a quick search to look at these cars and here are the links to the sale details for both cars;

    https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/mo21/monterey/lots/r0111-1983-ferrari-400i/1128658

    The '83 sold for $95,200 and the '84 for $170,800 I see. Is that inclusive of the buyer's premium of 10%? If so then the real-world prices are actually the $95,200 and the $170,800 and not the hammer price as the buyers would have known they had to pay that premium on top of the hammer price!

    An excellent price for both cars, especially when the mileage on the '84 couldn't be relied upon!

    Good news for all of us 400 owners :)

    Wow, just Wow, especially for the Tonkin 400i!

    Having sold my 1983 400i 5 speed in 2014, the 2021 prices make me wish for the Ex-Ferrari Owners Support Group as shown in this cartoon that I saw offered for sale yesterday during the Audrain Automobile week festivities in Newport, Rhode Island:

    That serial number is for an automatic because the 7th character is a "6". If it was a 5 speed, it should be a "7". I see that the catalogue description for 51899 has it correct.
