0744 belongs since many years to Chris Cox in NC. Car is silvergrey now. Last saw it about 2 hrs ago sitting in Fairway One at Casa Ferrari 90 Years Scuderia Ferrari display here in Pebble Beach.

    Of the six new 1958 works team cars, #0726 (250TR58), #0728 (250TR58), #0740 (206S), #0742 (250TR58), #0744 (412MI), #0746 (TR58/296S), either #0744 or the Le Mans winning #0728 are arguably the best.

    Beautiful brutal car.

Maybe my all-time fave, but I'd hate to have to do a tune-up. Here's Phoebe about to have a fast ride around Riverside. Luke Fratello's Daytona special in background.

Is that Riverside? I don’t remember there being so much catch fencing to protect the spectators. I would’ve guessed Ontario Motor Speedway, but I must be wrong.

Cut me some slack. I possess a geezer brain. Ontario sounds good, as I know we had some events there. In fact, just after Phoebe went through the Bondurant school with some other FOC people, we went to Ontario, where she would catch the Daytona of one of her classmates in the corners but of course her Dino was left behind on the straights. She was a real hotshoe until the dreaded Parkinson's arrived. Them wuz the days!
