My 08 430 Scuderia did not come with a stereo and I am looking at what is invloved in retro fitting the Cascade Ferrari stereo and sub woofer box. The 2 tweeter speakers are already installed in the dash and presumably the wiring. Has anyone attempted this and are there any issues to be aware of?

    Many Thanks

I'm considering the same for a CS I am buying. I have heard mixed opinions on what wiring is actually there. Did you veryify that the wiring and connectors are in place on your scud?

    don't do it.

Get an aftermarket stereo, and speakers with their own high quality wiring, much better. The sound quality of the stock stereo is really bad.

I'm about to switch the stereo, and remove that expensive and heavy alcantara subwoofer console.

+1. Find a high quality aftermarket shop to put in a new system. There are so many sweet technologies available. Alpine makes killer iPod integration you can get Sat radio HD radio. The sound of the aftermarket stuff can be incredible for very reasonable money. If you can find a good shop that can fabricate they can build a stock looking sub box out of fiberglass that weighs less than stock and integrate new quality equipment to look like it came in the car.

I understand the reasoning behind wanting to retro fit the system that originally came with the car. Stock is almost always better when eventually selling. But in this case I have to agree. Either leave it empty or go aftermarket. The stereo system upgrade that came with the Scud i in my opinion is worse than having nothing at all........And actually paying big bucks for it is even worse. I had an 09 Scud..........great track weapon and fun to drive. The stereo?........Forget about it!!!!

A big thanks to all that responded. You guys are right the factory retrofit isn't cheap - between the cascade/becker unit and subwoofer box, wiring etc its about $8,000 AUD so will either leave as is or go for really good aftermarket system.

    Cheers
