I replaced the modular wheels on my 02' 360 Spider with OEM 430 wheels. I want to replace the tires on the OEM 430 wheels. The current setup is 225/35/19 up front and 285/35/19 on the rear with 15mm spacers all the way around.

I am leaning towards Michelin Pilot Super Sports. I will likely use the original 18" modular wheels during any "winter" driving and put some winter tires on it. Mind you, the winters in West Texas are not too 'wintery'.

Has anyone used 235/35/19 up front and 295/35/19 on the rear in this setup without troubling the ABS system?

I have searched the threads and found many different threads on the topic. Just looking for the most recent information on the topic.

I know some people say the 7.5" wheel is too narrow for the 235 tire, but others have said they used it with no problem.

Any advice and/or suggestions is greatly appreciated. I currently have all weather tires on the OEM wheels and would like a tire with more performance characteristics.

MPSS has been replaced by MP4S. They are even better.

Even if the ABS kicks in too early I can now offer to recalibrate this by reflashing the engine ecus. I've done this on my own car where I run 245 at front and 305 at rear on skf race hubs with 430 Challenge racing brakes and rims with no issues.

Swiss Army Knife will let you calibrate this to your own setup.

Thanks for the prompt reply Trev. With the SAK re-flash can the system be restored to stock should I ever decide to sell the car and return it to stock?

I should add that I do not track the car (primarily because the closest track is about 350 miles away). I just don't want to upset the ABS because I do engage in spirited driving when the situation safely allows it.

Interestingly all the online calculators say max tyre for a 7.5" rim is 235. They also say 285 is max on a 10" rim. I will be going 235 on the front next time.

In researching old thread topics several members indicated they used 235 up front on the OEM 430 wheel without issue. I just prefer a little more "meat" on my tires and like the look. I don't like really low profile or narrow tires.

Yes, you can back up everything and restore back to stock at any time. Even if you loose your backup I have stored virtually every single firmware ever used on any 360 worldwide.

You can actually calibrate all kinds of other things like exhaust valve opening times, timeouts for immobilizer re arming (29.44 seconds as default) and even exhaust valve bark on cold start (2.5 seconds as default and disabled on warm start).

On narrow fronts when pushed hard it suffers terribly from front understeer and then snap oversteer can occur if you over correct it. I published a geometry alignment calculator spreadsheet allowing you to play with different setups.

Big improvement for fast road enjoyment from getting a bit less front toe and adding some negative camber front and rear.

So no patent problems with putting 235/35/19's and 295/35/19's on my 360 with the OEM 430 wheels?

wanted to bump this thread with the same question because I can't seem to find a conclusive answer - i have decided I'm keeping my 430 wheels for a set of spares and intending to throw track-ish tires on them, for my 360. I'll be running the 18" Challenge wheels on the street with the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S (https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/michelin-pilot-sport-4s-for-360-ordered-installed-fits.586525/).

intentended use would be occasional HPDE / track day, maybe an odd autocross. I don't really do much of all that anymore but certainly intend to get the 360 out and stretch its legs some point. Secondary use case to serve as a functional set of spares in the event something happens to my street tires -- which I found really handy given the recent issue I experienced -- being able to be rescued roadside with a functional spare vs. being towed was great.

So that said -- anyone have any input on the best tire size and selection for my use cases, for the 19" F430 wheels on the 360?

In the factory 360 19" size (225/35ZR19 and 285/35ZR19, full search results here) there seem to be three good options:

BRIDGESTONE POTENZA S007A (successors to the RE11's, about $950 shipped)
BRIDGESTONE POTENZA RE-71R (current gold standard for street/track tires, about $1150 shipped)
PIRELLI P ZERO CORSA SYSTEM (track tires that can be streeted, most expensive at $1375 shipped)

The alternate size I've seen most recommended is 235/35ZR19 and 295/30ZR19. (full search results here).

That alternate size opens up a few options that are less track oriented:
PIRELLI P ZERO ("only" a max performance vs. an extreme on the bridgestones, $975 shipped)
MICHELIN PILOT SUPER SPORT (also "only" a max performance, but well regarded, $1175 shipped)
MICHELIN PILOT SPORT 4S (what i'm running on the street already, $1175 shipped)

Two options from the OEM size are also available in the 235 / 295 setup, both are slightly cheaper than the 225 / 285 size:
BRIDGESTONE POTENZA S007A (successors to the RE11's, about $900 shipped)
PIRELLI P ZERO CORSA SYSTEM (track tires can be streeted, about $1275 shipped)

There are track-only options in the 235/295 size, including the Proxy RR, but given my intended level of track use I think i'm much better suited with something like the S007A or RE71's.

    Appreciate any input / advice!

My local tech suggested Continental Extreme Sport in the 225/35/19 and 285/35/19 sizes for the Scuderia "style" wheels on my 360. All in for $1050. I am replacing P Zeros of the same size.

definitely another contender. Slightly less than a grand on TireRack. The Conti Extreme Sports are whats on the F430 wheels right now... just 5 years old so reaching the end of my comfortable life despite being great on tread.
