Hi, Sorry if this is a dup of a previous thread, but I need to remove the factory stereo in my 1999 456M for repair. Is it simply a case of removing the security facia with the buttons and lcd display…. then two keys in the slots either side and gently pull to remove it ? Thanks
Just insert the two silver keys into the slots on either side (they are labeled) and gently pull it out. You should only need to insert them about 1 inch or less and do not need to remove the face plate. I had a shop charge me $150 to do this once.
