Hill Engineering has been working on an aluminum dead-pedal for the 458 Italia for several months. Although the working samples are done, we're not 100% sure the coloration and texture is "right" for the Italia. Matching the existing brake and accelerator pedals is not as simple as it might seem, because of the way aluminum responds to the sandblasting and anodizing processes.

Anyway, I have 2x samples here at Ricambi America, and I need a USA based customer who would be willing to install them and take well-lit pictures of the Italia footwell. My hunch, is that existing pedals with a few thousand miles of driving on them will exhibit natural discoloration that brings them closer inline with Hill Engineering pedal.

So -- if you've got an Italia and are will to help out, please send me a PM. Your submitted pictures will be posted on the web.

    Thanks!

I hope you manage to get it right...and that you will offer a RHD version at some stage.
I can't believe Ferrari doesn't offer this even as an option on the 458!

Mine is RHD too . And I have made a big discovery : the footrest of 458 has the same and only layout and shape LHD or RHD !!!! Go and see for yourself . I had been under the same misconception until I looked at the template which I made for my RHD 458 .

Looks fantastic! And what a steal at this price. Another vendor here is selling for more than twice as much, and it doesn't even match the other pedals.

I'm working to confirm the RHD fit, and will post back here ASAP.

A huge "thank you" goes to the folks who helped with test fitting these pedals. Based on the volume of orders we have already received, I increased our initial stock order with Hill Engineering and we'll be shipping them out to customers on Monday morning.

    Todd,

It's very simple. Hold the pedal itself and position it exactly where you want it.

Take a marker (silver or white preferably) and mark your spots for where you want your screws to mount onto the pedal.

Now you can put the pedal down for the time being...

Use a small pilot (approx. 1/2 to 3/4 the size of the screw itself) bit to drill wherever you personally decide screws will look best.

Now hold your pedal back up and attach your screws.

One hell of a cheap, easy, and necessary mod if you ask me! ;-)

Thank you Tommy, my car has a rubber cover there now. Does that just pop off or are you drilling into it as well?

    Todd,
I drilled right through the rubber one and mounted right over top of it. No need to be ripping and pulling stuff out if not necessary. Lol

I assume that if you have a newer MY and already have the allen head screws in place that all you need to do is substitute the new hardware supplied?

I don't have an answer to that question, because I don't have the specs on the existing holes. My best guess would be "yes" -- using the new hardware will work just fine.

Just a quick update, we've now sold out our initial allocation from Hill Engineering, and have the remainder of their stock confirmed to our next incoming shipment (late this week). After that batch, there will be a 10-14 day leadtime while they complete another batch of 50x units.
