I have a 2012 65,000km 458 spider. When I was swapping out my OEM exhaust for a Novitec, we found this crack in the OEM exhaust. That certainly seems to have withstood a lot of heat. A lot. Heat being perhaps the undisputed number 1 enemy of these cars and most engineering materials. Were you noticing any different exhaust sound notes? That’s a mighty crack. Haven’t witnessed such cracks on another 458 myself, but will look around mine on my next trip to the dealer and ask around. Kind regards, Nuno.
