458 Spider Roof and Window Controller

Just installed a mods4cars controller that allows you to operate top while moving; creates "one touch" button operation; leaves windows down if desired when top is opened; let's you use key fob to operate top and windows. Works great. Simple install. Not expensive. Absolutely love just 1 touch and top goes down (or up) and windows stay down (or up if I want).

Haven't had any of those problems either opening or closing while moving. That said, instructions tell you to only do that on a level and reasonably smooth road., not a tough road. My mechanic also told me that the top mechanism is strong enough to do this. Practically speaking, the real use of the opening/closing while moving is when let's say you are at a light and it starts to rain, or sun comes out and you decide to open the top. you start the operation and the light turns green. You can now start driving slowly until the top is closed//opened.

 

Yes. There are instructions on the mods4cars website. The hard part is removing the panel just behind the passenger seat. I watched my mechanic do this. There is hook on the inside that holds it in place. Once removed, the rest is easy.
