I wonder how often this thread will be updated in the future :)

Feeling like a little kid again today, got my first production picture ever of my first Ferrari. Never thought I'd be so excited to see a car chassis/unpainted body, I am just laughing right now thinking of people who thought buying a new 488 is a bad idea now with F8 coming. They aren't getting it. Someone pinch me

JMO, but the 488 is the most incredible car ever. I'll order a new F8 when allocations open up, but that doesn't diminish the 488 one bit. Congratulations!

She's finished. to say I am excited is quite an understatement... sweet mother of God. I will have to put together a thread for this car some time for posterity sake

Looks so good with the aluminium calipers and standard wheels. Looks so classy and combined with the exterior colour , IMO bang !. Should consider silver wheel centre caps instead of the yellow.

Just a shame that you guys have the shark fin and the side indicators on the front and rear bumpers . Ild really consider if you can get them darkened.

Glad you are enjoying the experience. No one will get it unless they have gone through it :)

    Well done and have fun

Reviving this thread. Have to be honest- the wait is starting to kill me. Anyone have any updated info on how fast Pistas are getting through production?

I’ve been sitting at Status 40 since September 26.

Where can you see the status ? Whats the dealers estimated date of delivery for your car ? I am checking my Ferrari and it is not changing besides the fact that i ordered the keyholder present to keep the tension at top level, so they at least write that. Waiting for a Pista here on my side. .

Nothing on My Ferrari other than the key holder gift has been ordered. No pictures, nothing. Still at Status 40 although I reckon that this should change soon. But beyond that- I dont know how long it will take to get the car here.

Ugh- just reread your timeline. Looks like it was 8 weeks from the time on water to delivery. If so that puts me at a December delivery. Oh well!

Does anyone know, how long the production takes after the VIN # is assigned and visible on MyFerrari?

If you are waiting for a 488 you might be out of luck since production has ceased - if you are expecting an F8 there are lots of personal timelines in the various F8 threads

No, it is for a Roma. But I guess it doesn't really matter as the production time is roughly the same.

What matters is the MODIS status. Your car can have a VIN but be Green 10. Unless you a Red 10, it can be anywhere from 4-12 months. Contact your dealer for the status number.
