The 458 will always be the true, the one and only Speciale (or special in english). This is a very nice Pista (Racetrack/circuit in english). I wish the GTO or Speciale name would be used. Once it wasn’t, it helps to the exclusivity of the above names. The Pista seems to evolve over the Speciale namely in terms of interior design, instead of a completely new design. Same with the GTB - Italia evolution. Kind regards, Nuno.
458 was an icon and it ran its course. This is a very nice and aggressive variant of the natural evolution of the 458 for a turbo version, the 488. Personally, I think the 458 was already ruined (visually) by the Speciale.

Funny you mention resemblance to Ford GT. You will notice that the stripes have changed since the initial leaked photos, I think, precisely because of how they looked like the GT: Image Unavailable, Please Login In any case, the flow-through concept is different here, with Ferrari calling the center portion an F1-inspired "S-duct".
I like the car with the exception of that extreme scoop on the hood. I'm sure it's very functional but it's just a bit too much looks wise for me. I already found the regular GTB scoop to be a bit odd, but the Pista takes it to the max.
Good lord that is sexy!! while many in the internet community will complain about how ugly this is - I think its stunning!! It adds the right amount of aggressiveness to the 488 without being gimmicky. Stunning! Id love to get one but calls to the dealer remain unanswered - oh well.
Certainly drives like a dream and cars from Maranello never look like nightmares and will never do...
The car, I imagine, must be a thing of beauty cutting through the air. Aerodynamics were elevated to an art form with this car. In terms of power, I bet this is nothing short of insane. On the whole, well done Ferrari. A proper Ferrari. That said, I think the name is a bit bland to put it mildly (Pista is just Racetrack in italian - Racetrack in english doesn't blow anyone's mind) and that front hood reminds me of a park bench for one to sit in, or a Ford GT40. Kind regards, Nuno.
