Same kind of mule spotted months ago on Bologna . Do you really believe it's a V6 ? https://www.instagram.com/p/BprnGXuAOZA/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet
The TT V6/hybrid setup will have to provide significant HP/TQ/performance advantages over the F8 to be successful as the 488 replacement IMO.
With the new message that the V6 will be introduced before actual deliveries of F8 I'm completely confused...
The new engine for BB will be the first to feature Ferrari’s second-generation hybrid technology with perhaps 850HP +. However more than the engine the BB will feature a new body design and unique interior features. Price will likely be more than double the V6 hybrid car...
Impossible to tell however IIRC one of the mule pics showed a mule that appeared to have a shorter wheelbase.
So production model TT V6/Hybrid with potential performance advantage over F8 to be introduced before F8 deliveries? Strange way to go about it I agree. I'm unsure new F8 owners will be content with a performance disadvantage to the TT V6/Hybrid at a comparable price point just because they have a V8.
V6 + electric + 4WD = NSX of course this will be more exiting car no doubt than acura/honda but I must admit Ferrari is not precursor
Considering that Ferr9000 called the F8 - which was on no one's radar - and has intimated (along with AlbertLP) that the May presentation will be a V8, I would bet on it being a V8.
Yes full credit to ferr9000 as he consistently has useful knowledge. Even the color blue (blu corsa) for the F8 Geneva showcar plus the 5 Pista spider builds last November in Blu TdF. I thought they would tour Europe with those spiders like Ferrari did with the Portofino but nothing happened...
If it were up to me, I would bring out a higher production, lower price, lower hp, lighter weight car with a hybrid V6 call it a Dino or whatever and not compete with the 488, F8. Then in 2 years bring out the V8 hybrid and call it the true 488 replacement. The BB can exist but should be a high end limited production vehicle for the estimated asking price.
Ferrari seems to think they can sell a V6 and likely for more money than the 488 price range and charge a huge premium if you still want a V8 powered Ferrari. It has been noted that Ferrari is being much more aggressive with prices as the intro of the Pista pricing illustrated.
************ about new v6 for new segment but never talk to launch this engine in net 3 months, this is just cheapest journalist !
If the rumors were the introduction of another mid engine V8 this year then I wouldn’t pay much attention however it does make some sense to roll out the V6 this year. Several people have said the car would be unveiled this year. I guess we will see. I was told by dealer more than 6 months ago of the “V6 488”. I guess we’ll see. They also could roll out the F8 spider pretty quick I would think.
It’s much more than 850hp and not gonna be double the price unless u r comparing a TM bb to a base lb...
The next one will be the BB, V8 Hybrid. The first V6 Hybrid would then be decicated to the Portofino., an anlogism to the FF/FFT. Anything else doesn’t make sense to me. Furtherly, an 812 Convertible is said to be introduced soon... As a consequence to the predicted 4 years run of the F8, the mid engine V6 Hybrid successor may be introduced in 2022 only at the earliest. Start of deliveries 2023.... That would also match with the ealier statements of Ferr9000.
With limited total production capacity annually, Ferrari’s strategy to raise average selling price/unit includes introduction of Iconic series and high HP hybrid cars so that it can increase earn per share for shareholders. Hope it works to Ferrari but personally I won’t buy it, especially with high tax rate in Taiwan though it’s only 1.5-2% of Ferrari‘s market share.
Earliest would we 2021, as Ferrari has said that the two tier mid-engine lineup will be a full hybrid range by that year. 2022 is when deliveries should commence for the 'little brother' aka F171.
No V-6 before 2021 despite what a random blogger, website or journalist says or misinterprets. This can actually be proven ... by the very introduction and existence of the F8 Tributo ... which is the stop gap car bridging the 700 bhp mid-engine vehicle in their lineup until the V-6 appears in 2021.
I don’t know when the V6 is coming out however I will say that now I know the ME 1000HP V8 will be realeased this year and before the ME V6.
I don’t necessarily think F8 will be 4 years, in fact I highly doubt it. When someone from Ferrari talked about a ‘normal run’, that is arguably about two years because usually the track variant gets introduced about two years in and the standard variant drastically slows. In the case of F8 there probably is no track variant so in their mind 2 years is the normal useful life.
+1 By 2021 they also clearly announced to investors the mid engined range will be fully hybrid. End of discussion.
