    just curious, where did you place your phone mount for your iPhone (or other), so you can see your phone while driving ???

    Hi Robert

    I have made a mount for my cheetah gps detector and you could do something similar for a phone mount.

    1- ran a hard wire from a piggy back fuse and brought it up throughthe first cup holder

    2- got a piece of steel billet just slightly smaller than the cup holder

    3- drilled and tapped a couple of holes into it and bolted on an adapted original bracket

    Looks almost factory and totally reversible.

    Only job left to do is get it powdercoated black in next few days.

    You could do something similar for a phone. The weight of the steel hold it tightly in place.
