I need an air conditioner compressor for a '93 512 TR
I'm told mine can't be rebuilt and my dealer hasn't been able to locate one.

    CYB,
Give this guy a call Mario (FChatter) 416 984 9401 he's in Canada, but has a lot of damaged Ferraris. I bought an air compressor for him for my previous 348 and it worked great $450 not $1300. I called him to see if he had an air unit for a TR, but he's checking he thought so? Or call here ferrari parts exchange 408 364 0881 (Lyle) or ebay oddly enough crazy but you can find some unusual stuff there or look in our sponsors area.

    Good luck
    Jim

What kind of compressor does the TR use?
I have a York supposedly from a Porsche that looks pretty good.
It has a 1980 date stamp on it but it looks just like the York in my '87 328.
Email me if you might be interested.

There is an outfit in Florida which I have used to source compressors for my 80s and 90s Audis. They are Polar...something and when I get to my office I can find it for you although you may be able to Google them.

Dealers cant find diddly unless its in the factory catalogue but most US cars came with US supplied compressors. Bought in bulk (usually from Japan) and shipped to the factory for install.
