512 TR sounds???

    I have a 512 TR, I would love to hear it sound like a 360, however after fitting Tubi pipes and 'gutting the silencer' its still fairly quiet until about 4/5K revs, is this engine just quiet by design?? any advice would be most helpful.

    Bazzis,

    Are you looking for volume or sound quality? I'm sure that Scuderia Systems will help you achieve the 360's volume, but alas I don't think you'll ever make your boxer 12 sound like a flat-plane V8, just as Pavarotti will never sound like Dido- both great singers in their own right, just different.

    I think that Ferrari V12s sound great anyway- more of a bassy bellow than the wail of the V8s. Enjoy it.

    The power curve kicks in around 4300 rpm, i have a 512TR w tubi & hollow cats, he is anything but quiet :) Why would you want a magnificent 12 to sound like a V8 ?
