53 year old joins military

How is that possible.....?

I was told at 42 years of age (just after 9/11) that I was too old.....

 

Obviously they are getting deseperate given the low recruitment numbers recently. Just after 9-11 people were eager to join, now the supply of willing recruits is much lower.

 

As long as you can pass the physical. My brother-in-law is in the NG and now in Iraq and he is at least 50.

 

Maybe for grunts, but he is anything but...
