My 612 OTO has the OE Bose audio and navigation system. It works great and is quite advanced for it's time. My Bovee 1000 iPod adapter works well for Bluetooth audio although any broadcast digital music information does not appear on the Bose display. Although antiquated in comparison to modern internet-based navigation systems, the GPS does work and correctly indicates direction of travel, etc. However, for some reason perhaps due to some kind of prior work on the car, the navigation system is not correctly indexed to the built-in digital maps. The navigation system thinks I am located in southern California and displays my location, direction of travel, etc on the West Coast while I am actually driving in Northeastern USA. Nobody seems to know how to reset the navigation and digital maps so they agree. Perhaps unplugging the power to the navigation system or antennae and restarting it would do the trick although I'm pretty sure the battery was disconnected when a replacement was installed.

I'm looking for any suggestions of how to index the GPS to the navigation maps. Also, does anybody know if the multi-pin connectors on the back of the head unit also power the antennae and navigation system and if so, how can I gain access to them to perform a hard restart? I generally use a cell phone with the bluetooth connection via iPod for routine navigation as do most owners. Probably no one still uses the Bose navigation system anymore but I'd still like to it to correctly register my location on the map.
