not bad for a GT. :)
Of course it is legit. If you are truly a car person you can appreciate what McLaren is doing and not blinded by a particular badge.
Well, I said it seems legit! I don't mind McLaren beating the stuffing out of everybody with their new wonder car.
I'm just kidding! Clearly the best power to waight ratio, the most important measurement for fast track times. The 720S on the right tires blows away everything in its class.
Once you have driven one you will understand. Even at Amelia this weekend it was the talk of the town! It changed all the rules! Gtjoey1314
And that may have made it faster than the P1 at Portugal's Portimao where the 720's was within 1/2 second!
As more people get seat time you can see their reviews and interest is really growing. People are starting to figure it out. I was at a C&C last week parked to a white 488, you would have thought I was parked next to an old Mazda. Not only is it a beast to drive but it is strikingly beautiful in a progressive way.
As some 720s owners say, "A 488? Hey, old-school is cool". Seriously though, I think a 488 is more beautiful.
As even more reviews come out , what's glaring are the three cars that were all over the news that DIED once the 720s came out . Lets not forget that the 720 s is only out 1 year this month and in the hands of owners only 5 months! The Acura NSX, FORD GT and the Porsche GT3 were on every cover until March 2017. Three more full reviews on you tube today alone showing outrageous numbers on the street, track and DYNO tell the story. I love the 458 as Ive said before, ITS A FERRARI!. This car though changed the entire game. 800 hp at the crank!, 0 to 60 in 2.5 , A V8 , rear wheel only, leather and heated seats and weighs 250 lbs lighter than all of the above! They nailed it and from what I'm hearing , its only the beginning, I just don't know how much faster you can go? Great car. Gtjoey1314
I'm a coupe guy but it will be interesting to see how McLaren redesigns the 720S for a spider variant. Unfortunately some nice features - including F1 butterfly doors, glass C pillars, window into illuminated engine, rear storage area - will likely be sacrificed. Construction of the 570S very different, allowing the Spider variant to add drop-top functionality without losing any features.
