    I need an ordinary spare wheel/tire to get me home just in case and for peace of mind. I've read in the past, but can't seem to remember now, that some Volvo wheels (lug bolt pattern?) will fit in the spare tire well of our early 308's. Can anyone here who's done it or know the correct size of such a wheel/tire help me out. I guess it doesn't have to be a Volvo wheel if another (no, not original $$$ Ferrari/Fiat) marque will do.

    Yes I have a Volvo spare. Never had to use it though... Certainly fits in the tyre well OK . 1979 308GTS. 16" wheels.

    Found one locally ($50) this past weekend, cleaned it up and it's now in the spare tire well. Shorter bolts arriving today or tomorrow. Now for a good scissors jack to go with it--any recommendations?
