Did the actual requirements for F12 TDF ever leak?

I remember they leaked for 488 Pista, where different clusters were presented, including criteria that were required in order to get allocation (see photo).
IMO the 812VS requirements will be identical to the ones of the F12 TDF...

I once heard that a 7 cars were needed?
Maybe some TDF owners could clarify and help...

Also, the TDF was announced in October 2015 and presented in November in 2015. When were the first allocations distributed?
In other words, when did people find out that they will end up getting one?

    Appreciate it a lot!
    Buona giornata a tutti

    Hey Marcel,

    Very interesting topics...

We got to briefly meet at Pebble Beach back in August... We had a great talk about your work "Ferrari by Vignale" do you remember?
As I told you, I lived in Zurich for a couple of years but moved back to California in mid 2018...

Let me know once you are back on the West Coast.

I believe requirements may have been different depending on region. In Switzerland (and the remaining markets under that regional directorate) it was 5 cars owned at the time of the allocation with minimum 1 limited edition.

Thank you for your input George. Could you define limited edition? Is a 488 Pista or 458 Speciale (short production run) considered limited or are you talking about limited in terms of actual production units (599 GTO (#599) or F12 TDF (#799))?

In terms of the 5 cars owned, do classic Ferraris count or not?

Do you know if these were also the criteria for US?

    Best Regards
    Capo

Limited meant limited by number, eg my Speciale Aperta counted but my Scuderia didn’t . They did count my Dino as far as I know but I m sure they‘d prefer modern cars that the client has bought recently from a dealer. Ownership of a hypercar such as Enzo, LaF, F50 etc definitely helped a lot especially if you bought it new. As far as I was told - and you may find it hard to believe - the rules were enforced quite strictly.
I am sure next time round they will value greatly buyers of Lusso and Portofino as these are models that broaden the interest in the brand.

Might not be new, but it’s new to me.... and a massive game changer.
We keep hearing the rumors of the GTS having perhaps the last NA V12 in a peoduction series.
This patent clearly shows that’s not the cade and we’ll have another V12.
This does make me rethink my GTS allocation.....

Unusually large rear bumper side pods, and what is all the gear hanging off the side?

It looks more like homologation testing of some sort than a "GTO" mule, maybe testing blind spot detection or surround cameras?

Well, I believe that maybe it was the result of work started in 2016 or earlier and now is sort of moot since GPF wasn't even a thing until early 2017 and revised EU noise regulations are also more recent...

Filing of a patent occurs once you have figured out your invention, given the timelines involved it is likely this will not matter as much as it would in a more normal world versus the sabotage the EU is performing on the automobile industry
