You are right but a 812 due to it has all engine behind front axial it is called front-mid engine . That’s why next model will be similar but with a friendly with Roma shape .

honestly Tdf prices are softening since almost one year
will they continue on this trend? probably at least for a while

difficult to estimate how the 812 VS will affect the Tdf value.....I have my personal opinion....let's wait and see since nobody has a magic ball
not too much to wait btw

It also has 53% of the weight in the back half of the car. California and Portofino are the same.

HELP - so, good chat with a dealer, is pretty clear what additional commitment will be required for me to be eligible for a 812 VS. Can you please remind me why it will be worth it (or not !). Thanks.

Depends totally on what they will deliver and what you want to get out of it. You'll need better details on the former to help decide the latter. Hopefully they will create a barely street legal banshee with the smooth lines of a classic Ferrari VS and not a warmed over 812 with a badge. If both use the same F12/812 platform then a massive amount of engine, suspension and weight savings upgrades necessary to warrant the additional commitment and fit in a significant collection.

Folks on here know my dealer so it wouldn’t be appropriate, let’s just say I bought the cake but need to add icing and a cherry. Expensive ingredients.

I do get the impression that the tide has turned, I know dealers sitting on multiple physical Pista SPIDERS at list from cancelled orders.

Easy to forget that 599 GTO was not a strong performer in a market environment better than we are about to see.

Firstly it depends if you are a "must build it and configure it myself" bloke or if a well specced one comes up thats good enough (as one will). Secondly is it REALLY for driving or for other reasons (supposed gain, limited etc etc). Thirdly is there another car you want (T.50 GMA etc) that you would rather "stretch" to get.

IMO - its a very hard call however if it was me I would get it if and only if no other cars/games/giving up my dog etc etc need to be purchased/considered. It would have to be seriously limited and numbered as well.

Are you sure about this? There was the one at Sotheby's auction at nearly 150K over MSRP just two weeks ago.

I do not think your dealer is any position yet to tell you that. It will be driven by FNE (for UK) . In any case Monza owners, TDF/GTO owners still with a car , plus an 812 history will rank a lot. Then , if it is numbered, how man cars you have in the garage . It will all depend how many cars are in the "limited" series .

Last non founded rumour was that the VS would be open top.

allocation criteria not decided yet, probably in the next two months or even later
but for sure need to have some cars in the garage including special series and bought in the last five years. for sure a 812 if not both, SF and GTS

So one can purchase someone else's Spider spec at MSRP in UK?

In the US, am hearing from several dealers that 50-100K premium is needed to buy a new Spider. Also seeing indications that prices have been firming up post Covid.

Realistically though how many people are going to have an SF and GTS concurrently? That’s got to be a fairly rare circumstance.

In the UK there have been quiete a few pista sold recently as well as 812SF it feels the marking is firming up a bit. Very few pista spiders for sale but those are about £70k above the coupes. Supply coming onto the market seems to have reduced clearly
