    Nobody has mentioned de factory recall regarding the ABS/ASR modules.
    AIR BAG: Electronic Control Unit
    BRAKES: Anti lock braking system ASR traction control system electronic control unit is affected by an error in production by the supplier.
    Check with an authorized dealer before digging for your wallet.

    Ray: I believe there are a couple steps in there about charging up the ECUs carefully and then, letting the ECUs mange the system before even driving off.

    IIRC, turn key to "ON" position, let sit for >30 seconds, then turn on car, let run @ idle for a few min....many in fact, THEN decide to drive off when the ECUs have recalibrated....BUT, as Rifledriver states, people who know better should dispense advice and I am going into that description based on recalling severall threads....many cobwebs in this brain.

    but, I do believe there are steps to take after an ECU has been powered down.
