The first 5 minutes of that movie is great. "Carbon on the valves". His description of the drive/repair ratio is pretty good too.

The rest of the movie is pretty lame.

Agreed. He does say that it is a 275GTB/4 though when he is whining about losing all his assets. It seemed to be the one thing he just could not let go of.

I like how it broke down on his date. That's funny!

And he is still sitting in there in his vintage driving helmet while being towed back...

There are certain chick and kid movies that CAN be tolerated if you just look for the cars -

Love Bug, certain Elvis pictures, that original (Steve McQueen) Thomas Crown heist movie (even the dune buggy was good)...

However, no car could possibly have made me sit through Love Story or The way we Were unless I had a suitable prospect as a date. And certainly NOT those two little wimpy MG TC/TDs.

You lucky dog. I haven't seen A New Leaf in 30+ years. Fave line - "Don't let them out!"

Did you see this via broadcast or DVD?

Same here, have been watching television non-stop ever since hoping they would show it again. :)
Just saw the first scene on Youtube.
Actually took a while to find out the what the title was. Has not been available on DVD until recently, but now I found it on:

    http://missedmovies.com/order/product_info.php?products_id=214&gclid=CNLd_Jvjn5gCFQ2ZQwodiB2HoQ

Don't know this site, so don't know if they are any good, but going to take my chances and order it.
Hope they ship to europe and that the region is ok to play on my player.

The TC 100 lic plate on the black Rolls was a nice touch in the Thomas Crown Affair. The Rolls driving through the cemetery at the end was played to great effect.
Best line was "It's my funeral, you're just along for the ride".

My favorite line from Mattahu's character: When he complains to a friend about the Ferarri's constant "carbon on the valves," his friend suggests that he switch to a Bentley, to which our hero retorts, "How dare you!"
