Hi - The wiring to my left rear ABS sensor right at the connector junction has been compromised just in front of the wheel arch for a length of about 16" - unfortunately the damaged area includes the connection itself and extends on either side of the junction. Looking at the parts fiche it seems like there's a long pigtail coming out of the ABS sensor and ending in one connector half and that the other connector half is actually attached to the wiring loom? Although I'm resigned to replacing the sensor assembly I'd prefer no splices but needless to say I don't want to change the main loom just for 8" of wire and a connector. Is there an ABS wiring harness sub-assembly? I'm thinking the best fix would be a recycled part including the sensor and pigtail themselves past the connector junction and a foot or two beyond. Any other thoughts? Thanks!
