can the internet community help me source an AC compressor for my 05 430 without breaking the bank ?

What can I cross reference it with? Any Maserati or alfa that share the same compressor?

    Thanks !!

very good idea to isolate exactly what the issue is

listen for the cycling of clutch from outside the vehicle

if no clicking then check for other issues (low pressure, etc) preventing the clutch from activating

Get a set of pressure gauges on the system and find out what is going on first

It's a Delphi compressor, isn't it? What Delphi model is it?

    https://www.ebay.com/p/1556608595

Usually there are clutch kits available for a fraction of the cost of a new compressor. I don't know if any of them are genuine Delphi, though. Most seem to be aftermarket.

They seem to be compatible with Maserati compressors of that era.

Did the mechanic try jumping the compressor relay to see if it engaged?

There are lots of reasons why a compressor clutch won't engage.

I assume the mechanic checked the AC compressor fuse? (Fuse PSF19 behind the left hand seat)

The A/C compressors in the 360/430 cars leak like crazy. Pop it out and send it off to be rebuilt. Cheap. Some GM cars share the same compressor. With the 360, you can keep driving while it's out because it has its own belt.

With the 430, you are stuck because the f430 uses one belt to drive everything. So your car will be out of service for a bit.
