    You're dead wrong, Pete. Watch the onboard video, preferrably from the Senna movie. Someone as knowledgeable as you, will spot it in a second. The steering wheel was bouncing around all over the place from the lap before on all the onboard footage. I had seen the footage many times before that but when I saw it on the big screen there was no doubt in my mind that the column either snapped or at least particially broke going into the corner. Even Newey said it was faulty and poorly designed.

    Actually you do once you have lost it completely, to try and reduce the impact.

    Also if the steering wheel was moving more than normal ... Senna would have pitted, he didn't thus he was happy with the movement.

    Anyway, this thread is a pointless discussion.
