Not much of a picture but hit the 25000 mile mark today on a short drive today! Car has been running fantastic lately. Haven't taken any remRkable pictures of note, but have been making the area rounds to the local car shows. It always gets great attention. Someone call Rodney Dangerfield... I got some respect today! Much to the excitement of my son, I got a trophy for Most unique car in a local car show. So he was ecstatic to win! Put over 150 miles on my car this week as well Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
That’s so awesome. Your son will never forget that you lucky SOB. Congratulations. Your paint looks great BTW !
Had a great week with the local FCA. They arranged a beautiful drive thru southern Indiana on some of the most amazing roads. During the drive we covered ground quickly. Got back out today on parts of the same route to film some driving videos. Still hoping to get more audio with my current exhaust setup. Also some static fall shots with Autumn in full effect

On tonights episode of 'Lets fix what might not be broken' I decided to tackle replacing my throttle cable. After I bought my car 2 years ago I noticed the routing of the cable was odd. None of it was placed in the clips and it went over one of the radiator hoses. In all fairness it actually created a little more space when working on the car. In all the other ads and pictures, I had never seen it placed this way, nor heard that as a technique. However, what I find really ironic is in a previous classified from 2015 I see the cable in the same place. So even after a reciept from FOH in 2019 for major belt and service, it still got replaced this way... My car... Using the great tutorial from this thread... https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/how-to-install-550-push-pull-cable.680086/ I decided to replace with a new cable. Very straightforward job indeed. The new cable feels lighter in its motion. Using the Tyrells garage adjustment video i made sure the TB fully opened without overstressing any of the mechanicals. The old cable was starting to crack and fray a bit. Looking at some of the printed numbers in the old one, does this mean it could be a 1994 part? Car is a Jan 95 build. I did notice a slight play in the accelerator cable (from the pedal to TB) and will revisit that once i know the slave side doesnt need any other adjustments, or readjust afterwards. But for now it sleeps as it supposed to... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Im sure know how to get somewhere you can see some color! How many miles are you up to on the Portofino now? Still talk about our meetup and your travels!
I had a similar routing issue on my 550. Had the belts done and the cable replaced, and installed properly. Throttle effort is much less now.
16k miles so far! Next trip will be to the California coast in January. We’ve driven it through 18 states so far, plus D.C.
I got out yesterday for a quick 25 mile run. Maybe just the Butt-dyno, but it does feel like the pedal was a little smoother! Love the car more and more... Image Unavailable, Please Login
