So I was listening to one of four Ferrari sound clips on my iPod and I thought to myself, "Self, are you a little too obsessed with these cars? I mean, you have fricken' sound clips on your iPod for cryin' out loud!" Am I too obsessed? Anyone else in the same boat as me?

Oh...and by the way, I'm listening to a soundclip of a Challenge Stradale while I type this post.

I spend a 30 minutes a day searching you tube for Ferrari engine sounds/videos and I don't want to even think about how much time I spend in this forum.

To me you sound perfectly normal, but you cant ask a crazy person if you are normal :)

There is a 10 step withdrawl process (Ferrari Owners and Dreamers Annonymous) that you can join.

The good part: You get rid of your Ferrari obsession

The bad part: You have the constant urge to buy a Prius

Where do you find the Challenge Stradale sound clip? Is it a MP3 format? I'd love to have it for my Blackberry. I currently have a sound clip of the 458 Italia set as my text message ringer.

The fact that you seem to acknowledge this means you might be a candidate for treatment.

    Here's the link:

    http://www.autocrossing.com/civic/sounds/sounds.html

It's "2001 Ferrari 360 Challenge Car on the dyno." Doesn't sound like it's on a dyno to me...and it sounds more like a CS than it does a Challenge Car. It is MP3 format; just click on it and it will ask if you want to save it. It's 1:12 long. :)

    Hope this helps!!! :D

But if you're proclaiming yourself insane you must be sane enough to have a grasp on the real world. The classic catch 22.

Well, some have said that the exhaust note alone is worth the price of admission...(live, not MP3, of course.) I don't think you have to worry, at least until there's deviant behavior (selling your wife's personal items or stealing money to buy more Ferraris/parts/)and your focus on Fs leads to outcomes detrimental to you, such as loss of job, deteriorating mental state, or crumbling social life. I could tell you stories that would make you feel, comparatively, very sane!

I must be too. I have a F355 sound clip on my phone as my text message ringtone. Anytime someone hears I hear the same response, "That is soooo cool!" :D

I agree 100%. You may want to ask normal people about normal behavior. Not us...

I get chills sometimes when I hear a nice car revving... I don't know if that's normal.
Listening to engine sounds is normal though. It's one of the aspects of being a car guy. ;-)

To this day I still roll down my window whenever a nice car passes. Earlier this week I did it for a sonorous 360 Spider.

One of my favorite memories is riding in a car with a head honcho from MotorTrend when, upon seeing an F430, we both rolled down our windows at the same time to listen. We just looked at each other and laughed. It's a car guy thing.
