    Greeting everyone!

After rebuilding the engine, it's now time to tackle the body of the car! The suspension and front seats were already redone, time to move to the big job. Not surprisingly, a bunch of things are weird and I'm hoping to get your feedback as to what is correct:)

While taking it apart, I noticed that the screws that hold the door glass frame were painted over. Obviously, this can't be correct since the factory would not paint the car after assembling it... Were these black, or something else ?

Then, I'm at a loss to figure out what these holes are for. Anyone know? Are they body color or should the plastic be removed before respray?

Despite the cold and being down with the flu, I managed to make decent progress over the weekend! I love the way that the car is just riveted together: Much more convenient to drill out than rusted screws!

The big motivation is to loose the black wart on the roof. I got really lucky and found a replacement roof in Belgium and it doesn't look too difficult to replace since it can be unstitched from the tubular frame :D

Another question: I'm thinking that the brightwork in the doors is polished stainless steel rather than chrome, does this ring true?

Thanks for any help, I'll be back with updates as the work goes on:)

Those plastic plugs in the door jam are not on my car. Perhaps they are plugs for holes drilled for rust proofing the inside of that panel?

Thanks, you could be on to something since I did not see any such holes on the many GT4's that went on sale on BAT. Kind of weird style of plugs, but maybe that's what was on hand. I also saw that the majority of the screws are bare metal, is this correct?

I forgot to mention that it is a 74 model year, and that it used to be Rosso Dino. That is very likely its future color as well :D Weird coincidence: a 1975 Rosso Dino 308 GT4 with the exact same sunroof sold on BAT in July 2022! Maybe people thought that the color combo was not ugly enough? Anyway, a black GT4 with the exact same sunroof was seen by FChat Brian Harper in Scotts Valley in 2015:

So, maybe these were not one-off moonroof installations by independent garages, but a more organised solution before the sunroof was available from factory.
