How about the "arm-twisting" that was needed just to get people to bid on the #1 Chip Foose car. This was admittedly a unique car by a recognized automotive genius. Good luck moving the rest of the production run.

 

Went to the guy Ron...(Forget the last name rght now) from AZ. He bought the $5M Cobra, Caroll's personal car at B-J Scottsdale in Jan and I believe has many CS first runs, etc. Big collector, and needless to say a Shelby fan.

You usually only get one chance to get he first one...what's it worth to you?

 

Didn't the Foose '71 Challenger #001 go for ~ $350K at B-J?

I really like Foose and thought Overhaulin' was great...I am curious to see how sales develop for Unique Performance and their entire line up of Foose hot rods.

The money for these first cars usually goes to Shelby's children's charity. The car is just a thank-you gift for the person giving the largest donation that day really. The crazier bit is that GT500s are still bringing ten grand or more over sticker. I can only imagine what getting a KR will be like.

Alot of cars sell for to much on this show. Foose is pretty brilliant, I like his work, good tv show to. What did the #1 sell for?

Now the duesenberg they had that sold for 1.5 million? That I could see buying.
