Killer build! How bad was the trans to stab and line up? I presume the clutch kit comes w a pilot tool?

Didn’t come with one when I did my 360’s clutch. Helpfully Ferrari put the required dimensions of the tool in the workshop manual. If you know someone with a lathe then you can get one turned up very easily.

They are very easy to make. I've made several for friends over the years. The water pump seal tool is also pretty easy to knock out.
I've made them out of both aluminum and delrin depending on what I had on hand.

It actually really easy. Slid right in. I installed it by myself. Strapped the trans to my floor jack and pushed it right in. This was one of the easiest install I have ever done. Everything right from the top.
I didn’t have an alignment tool so I made one with a few sockets and an extension. Worked perfect!

So Excited!!!! went out yesturday for a short test drive to make sure everything is working correctly. Car shifts perfect and the clutch is amazing. I used the kevlar and clutch release is so smooth. Need to make some minor adjustments with the cables and clutch pedal. Also need to finish up welding the clutch pedal. I have a few more parts to reupholster. Trans also shifted perfect with no more grinding. Ill post some more pics as I go along. I still need ti reflash the ecus and dash but that will be my last task as i need to learn more about that.

That is fantastic news John. Congratulations.
I believe you've just pioneered the use of the kevlar clutch in the 360 manual transmission.
It has been said that it caused problems with the F1 and so no one wanted to try it out on the gated.
    You're the first.

    Bravo!
    :)

Awesome news. How did you do the clutch pipe then? Braided hose all the way?

Curious to know how the engine ran in F1 mode too? Did you find the revs hanging during gear changes?

    Awesome work!
Curious, on the transmission grinding issue, did you just change the synchros and bearings?

I read the same on other forums also. I figured that it can’t be any different than other clutch’s on a manual. It’s amazing how linear it deals and takes off with such ease. Maybe I’ll post a short video

So I had a local hydraulic company make a line. I ordered it 10’ with a banjo fitting at the front and make fitting on the other end. I ended up using the original flex line from the f1 system. I just removed it from the upper block and attached to the new flex line. The only thing is that’s it’s not a braided line so this is just temporary until I get a new braided line ordered.

I did notice that it revs sluggish at the low rpm range. Not crisp as I want it. I’m assuming when I flash it with the new cs maps it will get better. Other than that, it’s just an amazing car as a manual.

The CS mapping will certainly improve things, as will the removal of the throttle demand delay. Getting it switched to manual mode though will also unlock the clutch pedal switch as an input to the ecu's. This will allow the revs to drop faster when the clutch is depressed. I've no doubt Trev will work his magic for you.
