I seem to remember some time ago, you were thinking of upgrading your 360? Are you still going to? If so which model?

    Peter,

I was thinking either a 550 or 512TR. But the 360 I have is so much fun to use that I've decided to keep it for a while.

I wasn't aware that 550s or 512TRs were considered "upgrades" to 360s? Willis: Thoughts?

    Tim,

I was considering them for "the V12 experience".

Yes, now that you mention it, with the shifting problem you had all sorted out with new software, the car has run better than new.

But I suppose you're still curious what a 12's must be like to own and run.

    Peter,

You could say that the F1 system in my car is new. :)

    Willis,

What s/w upgrade did you get? What did it fix? e.g., jerky shifting, quicker shifting under load, etc... I wonder how the level compares with my '04's level... Although I'm still in the breakin period, the shifting is much better than what I had experienced in earlier models. I didn't think Ferrari would do s/w upgrades due to other tuning factors. Cool. - Tim

My F1 actuator (the unit on side of the gearbox) lost pressure and got stuck in reverse. Happened on the last stretch home from Great Cascade Adventure. FoS replaced the entire F1 system. The system I got is a '03 kit. Shifting seems quicker and smoother than before.
