Yes,I did also hear about Norwood putting in some kind of Super Built American V-8 in it, Hadn't heard about the Ferrari V-12 put in one. Man,now THAT would be the Best! Is there any way? I would think that it would have to go in straight,Fore and Aft,like in a 288GTO or 512BBi. Maybe have to take out the "Trunk" area.Maybe utilize a TR or BBi transaxle? Could then probably put in some really wide Tires in the back....Skip,I love your idea!

    I found it: Forza #30, page 74-76

Get this: 308 with a twin turbo V8 (mid engine, as Skip said) with: TATAA DRUM ROLL: 1,829 hp!!!!!!

I'm fainting. 1,829 hp is about twice of a top F1. OHMYOHMYOHMY Dunno what to say. Oh, and it uses two parachutes to brake down again.

PS: The 12 cyl 308 was recently on FChat with a picture. Very crammed, but obviously working. Just do a search.

Unless I'm mistaken doesn't the 308 already have a hemi motor?

Yes,you are right about that,Don. I failed to mention that. But,yes, alot of Euro. Cars, including Ferrari, have had that "Hemi.Head" design for alot longer than Chrysler and American Cars have. Just not as "Torquey" with that "No substitute for Cubic Inches" Horsepower.

I just reread the article about the monster 308 in Forza. It set a new land record at Bonneville. And it went airborne around 270 mph...

They mention some other Frankenferraris: A 308 with a 512BBi 12 cylinder mounted in front! Gosh, I love Norwood! If I ever end up with too much cash...

You may be thinking of an urban legend (untrue) thats been around for years.

Originally, as the story goes, I believe it was a Chevy that someone mounted a couple of JATOs on.

Supposedly, the car went airborne and slammed into the side of a mountain.

    Interesting story but not true!

Reminds me of the Chinese guy who first tried out to get airborne with the aid of black powder rockets: He managed to put them all onto his chair and allegedly ignite simultaneously. He disappeared in a cloud of smoke. First casualty of the Spacecorps.

    PS: Remember Columbia. Today.

Guys you don't want to watch Scottsdale for Ferraris. This show is mostly muscle cars and Americna iron. To see really good Ferraris, exotics, and high end collectoribles go to Pebble Beach. Saw one go a few years ago for $5.9 million and with commission, a total of $6.5 million

I did see a 355 on the auction the other day. I did not see anything else Ferrari related. It's mostly American Muscle stuff..
