It means I will fill your mouth with Mumma's sweet apple pie re malaka! Lending Carl the 355?? Arent you a nice chap?
If he could keep his penis in his pants and stay in Oz instead of chasing asian skirt all the time the car would come home quicker, pardon the punn. I'm just jealous though.
With all due respect it sounds like you have not driven a WRX STi in anger, in a stright line the 355 would pull away above ~120kph, but covering ground in the real world there is no way the 355 could keep up. I love my 355 and it is by far my favorite car I have ever owned but that does not cloud my judgement on which is quicker. Thanks mate, it had 170kms and was in excellent well maintained condition, even when we had it apart to do the top end rebuild my engine guy said it looks mint, no matter, its coming apart again. Thanks mate, should make for some more interesting photo's though aye!! Um,
sorry...i can only repeat what I said...you need to learn how to drive a 355. all you did was just prove me right. I've overtaken them, undertaken them, out-braked them...you name it....and NONE of them were standard. In fact, some were so hot they were trailered to the track. straight line acceleration was actually the hardest part!
even I've outrun the things using of all things a Cobra replica at Wakefield. The kids that drive them think the car will make up for their deficencies, they don't, you still have to steer them well You might want to check the web for Subaru days nearly 10 years ago when aircon use to track the 355CH regularly and beat them
Agreed, I am certainly not a good driver on the track, but I drive to 6-7/10th and enjoy the day, that's why I go, I don't need to be at the pointy end to enjoy myself. So I guess I was really saying the WRX is the easiest car to drive quickly that I have ever owned.
Worth mentioning the engine should be coming out this week. Prognosis so fat is that it is likely to need a crank and conrod for the offending cylinder(s). More photo's to come...
Should be back together tomorrow night, engine is all buttoned up and ready to slot back in... Every bearing Crank Rods Rings
1500kms on the new motor now, running strong but I think there maybe an o2 sensor problem, going to get that checked and have the car run up on the dyno to check everything and see what numbers its pulling. Changed the oil and filter at 1000kms after the rebuild, managed to run it in and do the 1000kms in one weekend, I have only taken it out to red line a few times since as I want to get the o2 checked before I really push it. Changed a few things in the looks department too so it is starting to become a little less ugly, thinking of some aftermarket wheels but I don't want it to look "boyracer", this could be an impossiable ask... Looking into uprated sway bars and definitely getting some braided brake lines. Anyone have thoughts on suspension upgrades? Want to reduce the dipping under brakes and level out the cornering....thoughts?
