The wrap is absolutely hideous in my opinion but learned it's Grigio Medio underneath which is definitely not my first choice. Marietta, GA 2008 Ferrari F430 Scuderia Used Coupe | Serving Atlanta, GA & Roswell, GA | Select Luxury Cars? | 13349 | ZFFKW64AX80159926 Just curious about history of the car as it's got 27k miles on it and looked in not the best kept shape when I saw it the other day. Thanks!
I think Grigio Medio is one of the best colors out there... but to each his own. I would be worried about the condition of the paint underneath the (godawful) wrap - either damage from a poor wrap job using adhesives, or bad paintwork / blemishes that were there before the wrap was applied. The car seems to be priced accordingly, I hope someone buys it and removes the wrap.
Exactly my concern. A buddy of mine just picked up a Murci that had some panels wrapped and once removed we learned of a few dents as well as excessive swirl marks from the installation of the wrap. Dealer has no intention on removing the wrap "yet".
Speaking of body color what are the preferred colored Scuderias available in the US market? What color would drive a higher asking price vs another? What colors tend to have lower asking price if such a thing?
I saw this car at Caffeine and Exotics on Sunday. I have met the owners son at another car show last year, they have owned multiple Ferrari's. The wrap looked to be done very well.
I would imagine... White, Red and Yellow would command the highest prices - in that order. Lower asking prices would probably be Dark Green, Maroon, possibly Grigio Alloy, Black too.
White in a tier of its own. Then Red (RS or RC). The "hard" one to figure is Silverstone. The Scud Pricing calculator that many of us have used and found to be approximately accurate puts a premium on it...but I've seen a couple sell at red or sub red prices here on F-chat and elsewhere over the past year. Next tier is yellow and black. Silver can be a struggle to sell (unless priced right).
Thanks for the insight. As I said earlier, Grigio Silverstone is my preferred color. So we asked the same thing but he got all the information I was looking for. Hmmmmm, I need to work on my communication skills. Thanks for sharing.
It appears that the wrap has been removed, and the color is interesting. I'm in Austin, but was thinking of checking out the car in person. LEAVINU, can you be specific about your comment that the car is 'not in the best kept shape'? Any additional info/insights would be a great help.
There was another duplicate thread about this car, worth a read: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/360-430/458683-anyone-know-scuderia.html Cliff notes summary: If that car had 9 lives, they have all been spent. Might be worthwhile for someone looking for spare parts.
