    Looking for a racing class that takes place in California

    any suggestions

    I looked into the Porsche class
    but
    I was hoping for other suggestions

    Most car clubs (Porsche, Ferrari, Alfa, etc) have some kind of track school/events program going on. There's also car mfr sponsored events, like Porsche Driving Experience. There's also Skip Barber, Bondurant and other independent track/race schools.

    IMHO, I would go to the Russell school in Sears Point, CA. Infineon Raceway is absolutly one of the best tracks in the country. You can drive open wheel as they will give you a much better feel and speed than the car class.

    I'm going to the Skip Barber Racing School in January, It's a 3 day school at Laguna Seca. I've heard it's great, but I can let you know my impressions when I get back.
