I saw the car, sat in the car and we took some pictures of it. I must say it's really beautiful. It's a shame it was a rainy day so we didn't take pictures outside.

The color combo is really beautiful, carbon finishing amazing. And i fit perfectly in. I have a small experience of Fcars for everyday use (the only one i did use on a everyday basis for a little less than 1 mth was a Testarossa) but i must say that a F430 can be used as a daily with no problems. I FIT IN!!! Like in a F360, the latest V8 from Ferrari i have no problems to get in/out even with my 192cm. But the F360 i was in didn't have the daytona seats. This one has them and it's a total different story...

Nasharty is great. Thank you man!

And we need to talk more lively about those infinitis :D ;).

    Pics will come tomorrow!

    Cheers.

In Geneva, as i'm spending more and more time there now for business and such and as i live not far from the border it's easy for me to drop there.

Anyways pictures: Those are crappy resizes. I am working now on better ps-ed plates, contrast and 1600x1200 ones.

It's been a while since I last posted in this thread so I hope you all would like the new pictures.
This is my F430 pictured beside my new 612 Scaglietti GP. The GP is a limited edition Scaglietti made only for Switzerland and only 9 will be made. My 612 is number 3 and the only one in Geneva ;)

This thread "My 612 Scaglietti GP" in the 599/612 section is full of pictures too.

    Enjoy :)

Its been ages since you posted pics Nasharty? What's up with that? :D

We need our regular 430 fix ... of course by now you must be scratching your head to figure what kind of shot hasnt been taken before. Pretty soon we will be getting shots of wheel nuts and such :D

    Cheers!

Beautiful 612 as well - looks like you are cornering the Grigio market :D. Do what is unique about the GT - any new features?

Yes, both cars are in Silverstone. But the 612 is two tone Silverstone/Silver. All 9 Scaglietti's GP are in that color combination, so I had no choice. And to be honest, I love it.

Very unlikely. But you never know ;)

    FYI,

For those of you who think that you can go out, pick up a Canon 5D and a Canon 24-105 f/4 L and get results like these .... um, no. What these are, are quality pictures takes by someone who has a firm understanding of his equipment, the techniques involved in taking steady photos, focal distortion, depth of field, and some post processing skills (Photoshop).

Nasharty ... from one obsessed amateur photog to another, stunning ... just stunning.

Thank you very much Bill for the nice post. I really appreciate it.

Being an amateur photographer like me, you should also know that practice makes perfect. So yes, it's very unlikely that someone start shooting nice pics with a 5D out of the box. But, as I mentioned in an earlier post, one should start with a "beginner" dSLR (like a 350D) and then move on after they master it. This should take around 6 to 9 months (or even less) depending on the person.

I do a bit of hanging around photography forums (moreso than F-Chat) and unfortunately, 75% of the people who want to get better, do little more than throw money at the hobby. They see photos like yours, ask you what equipment you're using, and whip out the credit card. Then they make 25 posts on how they got a "bad copy" of such and such lens, its very annoying.

I watch people go from a 350D to a 20D to a 5D in a matter of months of their photography hasn't improved at all, it would look better if they just used a point and shoot.

Anyway, I'm way off topic here. Bottom line, despite the fact that its probably harder than normal to make a car as gorgious as yours look bad in photos, you have done a splendid job. Your Depth of Field use and cropping are perfect and your post processing really makes these photos pop. I'm especially pleased with the effects you've created in the backgrounds. I look forward to more of your posts.

Digging the car and the photography. Really makes me want to improve my own skills (or lack of).

cuio looks terrific on the seats but i would be afraid that perspiration on the hands or even slightly soiled hands would stain the cuio leather on the steering wheel. has this been a problem yet?

    nasharty,

Incredible cars, and beautiful pictures. Your home and the grounds look like they are well-kept. A man who works hard, plays hard (good taste), yet seems like he's very down-to-earth.

I sent you a PM as well.

I noticed you said that Switzerland bans auto-racing, but I read an article a while back that some developers wanted to build a F1 track. Any truth to that?
