Interesting that they’re using Lion Air to bring these Aussies home over the next couple of days. Why not QF / JQ?
Apparently the A330 that came in to Adelaide this morning had 374 pax on it. Geez they must have been packed in like sardines.
Friends came home from Chile yesterday - total of 17 people on board...they had 24 hours notice of the flight leaving, had to pay within 3 hours and basically needed to leave within a couple of hours to get from where they were to Santiago... No doubt still most of the people who were begging for ‘rescue’ flights are still exactly where they were.
I have a friend that is a pilot that has been stood down because of the virus thing. He's a junior pilot, having only flown for a few years. The savings account is nearly empty. Things are tight so I have offered to help him out. His previous job was in the building game as a carpenter. I have got him to renovate the house. Paint it, change some of the tiles, fix the loose fence palings and so on. You should see how well he did the landing!
Poor Gary only has hedge trimming to fall back on ...... lucky for him man-scaping is all the rage now
Good for you!I was hoping to be working at Greg’s by now but my application has stalled at the shorts selection process.....
My son has returned home from the UK and has a list of jobs that I will pay him to complete but he refuses to go near the spa Gary - I can pay you if you’re game ? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Yeah no worries David. I’ve got a hazmat suit so I can fish Your beads out... That should sort the blockage before you invite Ian and Greg for dinner again...

Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing Seeing the F16 have trouble reminded me of why I think Aussie pilots are such bastards : 1980, Nellis AFB, Red Flag, F-16 fully loaded with live weapons taxiing has his brakes catch fire. We had just landed in a C-130 and were disembarking when the F-16 had trouble, the C-130 aircrew run back into the plane (I think they are going to get the fire extinguisher) , they pop the roof panel in the cockpit, set up their tripod, put their camera on and start filming Meanwhile the F-16 pilot has jumped out missing the ladder all together and ran into the trench waiting for the "explosion" Keystone comedy all round
