I hate engine out servicing on the 355 but these things really take the cake Image Unavailable, Please Login
At least there’s no pistons in that thing....It’s like a giant arsehole with only a couple of bearings....No suck , squeeze, bang , blow like the 355......
Do normal aircraft jet engines suffer compressor stalls ? Was a big issue on the P&W engines in mach 3+ dives
Some interesting aircraft in this pic Image Unavailable, Please Login Any idea what they are Gaz ? I stood in the wing root of the one on the left
The old Star lifters JM?....Not sure maybe Steve can chime in on this one if he’s awake....The blu Oyster Bar shuts late.....
C5 Galaxies on the left and C-141 Starlifters on the right Those Galaxies are massive aircraft and I was told by the ground crew the titanium bolts were circa US$15k each !! Probably BS but I remember MIL spec stuff being VERY expensive
Interesting development. Cars, excavator used to impound Virgin planes at Perth Airport amid stand-off over 'significant' debt http://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-04-24/perth-airport-moves-to-sieze-virgin-australia-planes-over-debt/12183344
Yep. Galaxy on the left, Starlifter on the right. Moretti must be standing on the wing of the StarLifter, or it’s the same suspension as in the rear of his 355HR.
I thought the thing on the left was an Antonov........or not unless the US airforce has bought some. Lucky Steve is allowed to have up to 10 people at his blue oyster party.
I was fortunate to go through a C5A at the Bicentennial Air show in Richmond in 1988, also the AN 124.
Me too! I’ve got some pics lying around somewhere of teenage me chatting to a B747 Captain under the wing of his aircraft. Maybe it was Gary...
